‘Islamic countries should work together to counter challenges of Islamophobia, terrorism’

Ali Muhammad Khan (Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs):  Islam is a religion of peace and justice. The world must realize that the terrorism has nothing to do with religion as terrorists have no religion at all. It is unfortunate that the world never talked about Hindu terrorism, Christian terrorism or the Jewish terrorism, but talks only about Islamic terrorism. It is the responsibility of entire Muslim Ummah to address the issue and take it to the world capitals. Another credit of Prime Minister Imran Khan is that he effectively advocated the Kashmir dispute at international forums. No power in the world can take the right to self-determination from the innocent Kashmiris. The world must ensure the implementation of the UN resolution on Kashmir issue as it is the main bone of contention between two nuclear powers. The fascist Indian government is using every brutal tactic to suppress the freedom struggle in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. After the Indian illegal move of abrogating articles 35-A and 370. The pro-Indian politicians in the valley have also been criticizing the BJP’s policies and admitting that the decision of Jammu and Kashmir leadership to reject two nation theory in 1947 & align with India has backfired. The Unilateral decision of Indian government to scrap Article 370 is illegal & unconstitutional which will make India an occupational force in IIOJ&K.

Dr. Zafar Iqbal (Religious Scholar):  I have no doubt in saying that collective efforts of the Muslim world is mandatory to counter the threats of increasing Islamophobia across the globe. No country in the world can solely take up the issue in the world. There is a need that 58 Muslim countries must devise different strategies to generate awareness among the international community regarding Islamophobia. Islamophobia is increasing through a number of channels.  Unfortunately, the Muslims are the direct victims of this Islamophobia. There has been a significant rise in such crimes with the ascendancy of ultra-right forces in many Western societies. The incidence of attacks on Muslims and their places of worship have become more frequent. Some violent actions by Muslim individuals influenced by extremist ideology too have been used by racist and ultra-right groups to whip up anti-Muslim sentiments.

Dr. Muhammad Sajjad (Religious Scholar):  Islam is a great religion of peace and harmony among all the other religions whereas in Europe negative propaganda against Islam has created many concerns among the Muslims of the whole world. The rise of violent anti-Muslim movements and the hate campaign run by racist groups on social media have certainly been a serious challenge for democracy around the world. But such hate campaigns and actions by extremist groups must not be equated with religious and civilization wars. Individual terrorist actions must not be allowed to strengthen extremist ideology on the other side. Unfortunately, Islamophobia is not restricted to some countries as it became an epidemic and spread across the globe.

Dr. Abdul Wajid Khan (I.R Expert):The fascist Indian government is even pressurizing international players participating in Kashmir Premier League. Means Hindutva mindset is not limited to international politics but can also be seen in sports as well. India must focus on to improve the situation of people of its own country. The Indian forces are setting worst example of atrocities in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and the world powers must take notice of it. The minorities in India are also on the targets of Hindu extremists. The world is well aware of the Indian hegemonic policies but is silent because of trade interests with India.
