MUZAFFARABAD, Pakistan: The polling for the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Legislative Assembly Elections 2021 will be held on Sunday.
The polling process will begin at 08:00 am and it will continue till 05:00 pm in the evening.
The Election Commission of Azad Jammu and Kashmir has finalized all arrangements to hold free, fair, and transparent elections.
The Kashmiris living in any City of Pakistan are also eligible to exercise their vote.
More than 3.2 million registered voters are eligible to exercise their right to vote to elect their representatives for the Azad Kashmir Legislative Assembly for the next term.
There are 45 constituencies including 33 in AJK districts and 12 meant of Jammu and Kashmir refugees settled in various parts of Pakistan.
In the AJK Elections 2021, five seats are reserved for women and three are meant for the technocrats, one each reserved for overseas Kashmiris and Ulema/Mashaikh and professionals.
The election scheduled for 8 reserved seats will be announced after the general elections.
Meanwhile, Member Azad Jammu and Kashmir Election Commission Farhat Ali Mir said that all arrangements have been completed to hold free, fair, and transparent elections in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
Talking to the media in Islamabad, he said that Pakistan Army has been deployed at the request of the Election Commission to ensure a peaceful election process.
