Encounter erupts between security forces and militants in North Kashmir’s Bandipora
Two unidentified terrorists were killed in an encounter with security forces that broke out in the forest area of Sokbaba in North Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Saturday morning.
The operation is still underway, Kashmir Zone Police tweeted.

According to police sources, a search operation was launched on Friday afternoon after receiving input about the presence of militants in the forest area.
As the search teams of army and police headed towards the suspected spotted today (July 24) morning, the hiding militants fired on them, leading to an encounter.
Sources said that the exact number of militants is not known but the exchange of fire is going on from both sides.
