India’s illegal occupation of Jammu and Kashmir is against international laws and norms

Syed Fakhar Imam (Federal Minister for Food Security): India’s illegal occupation of Jammu and Kashmir is against international laws and norms. It was India that took the case of Kashmir to the UN in 1948. Since then, several resolutions have been passed on the disputed status of Jammu and Kashmir. The future of Kashmir can only be determined through plebiscite by people. Government of Prime Minister Imran Khan has invigorated the issue at all international forums. Prime Minister made a very strong case for Kashmir at his UN General Assembly appearances. He as ambassador of Kashmir has been consistently highlighting the Indian atrocities on people of Kashmir. In IIOJ&K, Women have been raped and young children have lost their eyesight due to use of pallet guns against them. Unfortunately, the world community has not put required pressure on New Delhi so far. The government of Prime Minister Modi is highly under the influence of RSS mindset that seeks the Hindu supremacy in India and does not treat minorities equally. The reign of terror unleashed by India on innocent Kashmiris invites immediate world public attention on human rights violations.
