Pant will be able to join the squad in Durham after returning two negative RT-PCR tests: Jay Shah

All members of the Indian Cricket team, other than two Corona positive cases of Rishabh Pant and a member of the support staff, have tested negative ahead of next month’s Test series against hosts England.

According to the BCCI sources, all Indian team players including all three quarantined members of the team-wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha, back-up opener Abhimanyu Easwaran and bowling coach Bharat Arun have all tested negative in the first round of RT-PCR COVID -19 Tests.

Pant is also doing well and currently in complete isolation. He is being closely monitored by the BCCI Medical Team and is on his way to recovery. BCCI sectetary Jay Shah said, Pant will be able to join the squad in Durham after returning two negative RT-PCR tests.

The Indian team is due to take on England in a five-match Test series starting August 4. It will play a practice game start starting July 20.
