Preity Zinta is proud of her organic home garden, asks fans to try ghar ki kheti

Preity Zinta absolutely loves gardening and her hard work has paid off. The actress recently took to Instagram to share a video of her organic home garden. She picked some fresh strawberries and told fans that she planted the seeds with her mother last year during lockdown, which was made necessary due to the novel coronavirus pandemic. Preity also encouraged her fans to do ghar ki kheti, which translates to home farming.


Preity Zinta lives in Los Angeles, US, with her husband Gene Goodenough. She has been spending quite a lot of time taking care of her garden and her efforts are visible in the fruitful produce. Preity looks beautiful in a yellow chikankari kurta and flared salwar set in the video she shared on Instagram.

Showing off her home garden, Preity wrote, “I cannot explain how excited I am to see fruits & vegetables grow in our backyard. Mom was with me during the lockdown last year & we planted all sorts of herbs, fruit & veggies. Now, I have strawberries, oranges, peaches, guavavas , tomatoes, green & red peppers, green & red chillies, eggplant, mint, basil & lemon grow around the house. I am so proud of our little organic home garden. Thank you ma for making this possible I am loving every bit of this. Try it at home folks – you will be amazed by your own ghar ki kheti #prganicgarden #gharkikheti #strawberries #ting (sic).”


On June 18, Lakshya clocked in 17 years of its release. Its director, Farhan Akhtar, called the war-drama a ‘life experience’ in a special post on social media. Lakshya starred Hrithik Roshan, Preity Zinta and Amitabh Bachchan in lead roles. Preity Zinta recalled it as her ‘toughest film ever’ and wrote she is proud of it.

Sharing a video from Lakshya, Preity wrote, “Remembering Lakshya today – My toughest film ever. Filming at 18000+feet in Ladakh was brutal & beautiful at the same time. I’m so proud of this film & everything it stood for. It definitely is a love letter to all the army brats out there It’s also a reminder to never forget all those sacrifices & the unmatched bravery of our armed forces (sic).” The actress went on to thank the team for the memorable film.

Preity Zinta and Gene Goodenough dated for a long time before they got married on February 29, 2016, after which she moved to the US. Her last acting venture was Bhaiaji Superhit in 2018, opposite Sunny Deol.
