Chennai: Petrol prices have crossed the Rs 100 mark in 35 districts in the State. Vellore saw petrol priced at Rs 101.37/litre, Cuddalore Rs 101.07, Thiruvannamalai Rs 100.81 and Salem Rs 100.
Among metro cities, the prices of fuel have already crossed Rs 100 in Bengaluru, Mumbai and Hyderabad. And in states such as Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Jammu and Kashmir, Odisha, and Ladakh, petrol had already crossed the Rs 100 per litre mark.
While motorists are fuming over the hike in fuel prices, Tamilnadu Petroleum Dealers Association president K P Murali said dealers were finding it very difficult to run outlets due to the high cost of purchasing fuel.
