On the occasion of International Yoga Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the nation at 6:30 am today.
In view of the Covid-19 pandemic, the lead event this year will be a televised one and is scheduled to start early.
The theme of the International Yoga Day event this year is ‘Yoga for wellness’.
“Tomorrow, 21st June, we will mark the 7th Yoga Day. The theme this year is ‘Yoga For Wellness’, which focusses on practising Yoga for physical and mental well-being. At around 6:30 AM tomorrow, will be addressing the Yoga Day programme,” PM Modi tweeted on Sunday evening.
The Prime Minister’s address will be followed by a live yoga demonstration from 7 am to 7:45 am by the Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga. Union minister of State for AYUSH, Youth Affairs and Sports Kiren Rijiju will also address the International Yoga Day programme today.
