Jammu & Kashmir: L-G Manoj Sinha announces incentives for medical staff amidst COVID crisis for 3 months

The second wave of COVID has grappled almost all the states including Jammu & Kashmir, with a spike now being witnessed in the number of Cases. In order to boost the morale of the medical fraternity, the government has incentivized the COVID duty. L-G Manoj Sinha has decided to give the frontline workers an incentive for three months. The incentive includes Rs 10,000 for Resident doctors, PGs, medical officers, Rs 7,000/month for nursing and paramedical staff, and Rs 5,000 for drivers, sweepers, and as well as attendants. The incentives will begin from May 2021 onwards for the next three months in recognition of the tireless work that the members of the medical fraternity are doing.
